Server class Athlon64

A friend of mine is looking to build a server class A64.

What's your guys opinion on the best CPU/mobo/chipset combo for him? The constraints are:

1) Probably doesn't want to spend the big bucks for socket 939

2) Doesn't really need a lot of stuff on the board, like audio. Will take it if necessary

3) Wants gig-E lan if possible

4) nVidia chipset preferered, although VIA considered.

Opinions? TIA.

something like an <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-130-470&depa=1" target="_new">MSI K8N Neo</A> perhaps? And whatever Socket 754 A64 fits into his budget I guess. performance gain after around 3200 - 3400+ doesn't justify the price increase IMO.
