How much can you spend on this?

Have you considered an Athlon 64 System? You put gaming as the first thing in your list, and A64s are considerably better than P4s for gaming.

925x is too new to be considered IMO. It'll need time for some good mature motherboards to arrive. i865 is much better value than i875.

Negative.Although A64 FX53 or other A64 product really does run a little faster in game and test, the real situation is different:For you always perform many tasks at one time,P4E with 925x
is your best choice.

Truth is somewhere out there!

i might spend a little more than $150 or so
and you say 865 is better value than 875 .....so i had been reading ..but really don't know what is better in 875 apart from PAT (which asus claims to have implemented in 865 ) .....about athlon64FX i m still not sure .......as it costs a little more ...

now with what i was reading that 875 can OC with prescott to get equivalent performance as 925x ...do u guys still think 925x is better option ....what advantage will i get (apart from being future proof for atleast 2 yrs )....?

even if i go for 875 or 925 which brand should i go for......?
