Hey guys .. its been awhile since i've posted here.
ok anyway a few days ago we had a very bad lightning storm and my dads pc got fried. Anyway its a HP he took it to a local store (for insurance purpose) and the guy replaced the mobo and added in a Asus P4B533vm... For some reason it's not letting me get into the bios.
the reason i wanna get into the bios is becuase my dad is running a 2.53ghz and it's showing under the mycomputer properties it's running 1.89ghz... that's obviously wrong. i wanna tweak up the multiplier and whatnot can anyone give me some advice on what to increase it to. or any other helpful advice.
Hit the "del" or f1 to enter the bios. The cpu fsb setting should be in a section titled "frequency/voltage control" or something similar. When you find it, set it to 133 for 2.53, or you can try 150-160 for overclocking. If the board has built in video, the overclocking settings may be limited. If you can increase the cpu vcore, try 1.55, a safe setting that won't cause any heat problems.
