Does long-time gaming affect machine's age?

Just got an i7 laptop. I usually play online games where I leave it running while I go out doing something else.

The question is, will that affect the processor and fan's age, or maybe even the machine itself?
I have a processor widget and I know leave it running with games consumes the processor and fan all the time.

I love i7 performance in gaming but by common sense, I wouldn't leave it on 24/7 if it affects the machine's age, maybe only once a while.

  1. It doesn't affect any of the system components. The only thing of concern would be the battery; leaving the laptop plugged in even after the charging is full, might affect the battery in the long run.
  2. machine do fails even if it is branded so try buying some laptop cooler.
