EPoX Diagnostic Codes

I have an EPoX EP-8K7A+ and I am getting an error code of "05" on the diagnostic LED. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a list of the diagnostic codes so I can figure out what it means.

If anyone knows what this code means, or can point me towards a list, I would appreciate it.

The codes aren't just messages. They indicate the stage that POST has reached. "05" is obviously very early in the POST. Check the back of your owners manual for the meaning.

Don't know if the codes are the same but in the manual for my Epox 8KTA3PRO, table C1, the 05 entry states...

1. Black out screen
2. Clear CMOS error flag

Don't know what it means. It seems like a very strange place for the system to halt.

Did you try clearing CMOS? Try another battery?
