I have recently bought a new Abit BE7 motherboard which I can't get to boot.
When I start the computer the fans starts to run, but stops after a second or so.
A red light illuminates in the top right corner of the board, close to dimm bank 3.
The green light is on all the time.
The rest of the system are as follows:

Motherboard: Abit RAB003250128B0 BE7-RAID V 1.0
CPU : Intel Pentium 4 2,4 GHz Boxed PC533 Socket pga478, 1MB cache, Prescott
CPU heatsink and fan: Intel
RAM: Corsair Valueselect PC2100 512 MB
Disk: Seagate Barracuda 7200 160 GB
Chassis In.Win S551 Midi Tower ATX 300W
VGA: Asus Radeon9600SE 128MB DDR AGP
Mouse & keyboard : Creative
Monitor: ADI 17''

The chassis workswith another motherboard.
RAM, VGA, Disk and monitor are all ok in another system.
I have tried to discharde CMOS data and even removed the button battery during CMOSdischarging as described in the manual.
Abn the situation remains the same, turn on the system, fans starts andred light illuminates and everything stops.
Nothing is displayed on the monitor.

What can be wrong?
Doesn't the BE7-Raid support this CPU?

Well, if it didn't support that CPU it should start normally and not bring up the POST screen. If you're turning it on from the switch on the power supply, it's normal to run for a couple seconds and shut off. If it's doing that from the power button, you probably have a grounded circuit on the board, caused by a misplaced standoff.
