I just finished swaping out my mobo in my comp, went from an msi k8n neo plat to an asus k8v se deluxe. I am useing a 3200 amd 64bit proc, 1gig DDR400 of mem, 9800pro 256. When I benched my sys with the msi board with 3dmark01 SE I was gettin like 19000's but now that I switched to the asus I get 14000's. Whats the deal? FarCry also runs crappier(lower frame rates with the same settings). I haven't overclocked anything with both boards. Also the bios setting with the Asus boards are crap. I don't know were to change voltage settings or memory settings (useing bios out of box). MSI bios was hella better. Anyone with this asus board got any pointers or help?

First of all, why swap? The MSI board would generally be recognised as superior to the Asus one (Nforce3 Vs K8T800).

But disregarding that, it's probably old drivers etc that are getting in the way. A clean re-install is always best when swapping motherboards.

Could also be timings and other settings within the BIOS.
You might have had your MSI tweaked, while the Asus is default.

VIA hates you, they do sneaky things to undermine the community they sell to, a false friend, a traitor to the community. Oh, and they cost my business money.
