I'm about to install a Creative sound card using XP. Typically the Creative installers will ask me to point it on the right path which is not alway successful. Where are the drivers located in Windows? Also, is it a known issue that XP cannot install the driver for the gameport, or am I just crazy? I couldn't get it to install right on 98 SE and I've got a thing about the exclamation point in my device manager.

Can you choose let Windows automatically search its drivers (in my experience Win XP does much better job than earlier versions). Anyway, typically, most drivers locate in Windir\System32\drivers and their installation files (.inf) store in Windir\inf (which is hidden so you need to check on <b>'Show hidden files and folders</b> in Folder options).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
