the ps2 original was dismal at best, multiplayer was fun but the single player wasnt so great. Nothing like cod, unreal, crysis, doom, and hl...

Always been a fan of Red Faction, especially because of the destructibility, I think it's safe to say they were the pioneers of full environmental destruction. However, I don't know if I like the idea of aliens being introduced to Red Faction. Kind of turns a war game about blowing stuff up into a suspenseful game. I hope they continue to expand on the open world idea though, and make the environment less bland (even though Mars is pretty bland...)

Red Faction was a masterpiece, and the multiplayer held me and a friend together for roughly 6 months. I cannot understand the direction its going in now.

2 Weeks after RF I - thq cuts off any support
RF II = fail
1 Week after RF I - thq cuts off any support
RF Guerilla = total multiplayer fail
Few months after Guerilla - thq doesn't do a thing to fix it and says that it "works fine"

I love RF1 but can't stand RF2 (only play like 30 minutes). Never tried Guerilla but I've been meant to.

Why aliens? WHY? RF:G was all about fighting a corrupt human government. That was AWESOME. Now we're going to go the generic sci-fi route and fight aliens on MARS? Come on now. Really?
