sure, I've only had maybe one screwup in all the years I've been doing them. You've gotta be diligent about following the instructions to the letter, and you've gotta remember to actually DO them. But if you follow those 2 basics, they actually work.

Sure! You'll get it eventually. It can take as long as 120 days though! I wonder why they want to dump these boards so badly. They must have a frickin' mittful of them!

Something you think you'll get and never do.

I've had 2 screwups out of 4 rebates. Eventually they tell you they lost your rebate info and you have to resubmit, then give you the runnaround some more...

This is especially handy when the rebate requires you to send a portion of the box with it. Then when they "loose" your stuff you can't resubmit. Of course you could go through the extra effort/expense of sending in your rebate with delivery confirmation, or make the package registered, etc, then go after them with the info you get from the post office.

I've seen lots of Soyo boards "free after rebate". Soyo is a PC-Chips company, by the way.

I definitely photocopy everything, even the pieces of the box. If they say they won't accept that (after I've already sent it in), then I say it's time to get my lawyer, then they'll usually accept the photocopy.

Yes, I'm running a Free Soyo board, prior to PC-Chips buying out a controlling share of Soyo.

I got an SY-BA6+III in January a couple years ago (new old stock), it blew capacitors (with an BANG and some sparks) 2 months old, I spent the rest of that year trying to get it replaced, 6 RMA attempts without response, 8 long distance phone calls at around 1 hour each, finally got an RMA number requiring $15 handling charge for my free repair, so I fixed it myself.

Normally they have good boards, but god forbid you get one with a problem!

I wonder if Intel is in on this, as a way to dump some of thier inventory.
PC-chips does make boards for Intel, so this would be a good way to do it without appearing to.
If that is the case, the rebates may come easier.

I was thinking that too. It just doesn't make sense to give stuff away with no strings.

I have ordered one of these boards, but I need the rebate form. There is supposed to be 2 rebates, a $ 35 rebate, and a $40 rebate. Today, on their site, only the $35 rebate is listed. Does anyone have the PDF file with the two forms? If, so could you PLEASE send me a copy to my e-mail address: stardude150@hotmail.com
Thanks
