Source and standby

How can I force my computer to go into standby when an instance of a Source game is running?
In the logs, it says "A request to suspend power was denied by hl2.exe."

This also happens with COD4 (iw3sp.exe).

Is there a program, some registry tweak, or other way to force the computer to standby/hibernate when such a program is running?

why do you want to do that? especially while playing a game
