I've been trying out print servers on my LAN: EDImax UTP/USB and
Belkin Wireless/UTP.

Both print servers work fine with my Epson Stylus Color 740 and C42UX
printers.

Neither print server device works with my deskjet 3550 - the software
installs and configures OK, and there are signs of network activity
to the print server when printing but no output from the printer and
the spooler service then loops at around 100% cpu usage.

Couldn't be anything to do with HP making competitor print servers by
any chance?
