Hi

im going to be getting windows XP when i get a AMD 64bit CPU....does windows XP benefit and take advantage of 64bit CPU's and will i have to buy a special 64bit edition?

You do not utilize the 64-bit part of the CPU with WinXP.

There is a Windows XP 64 bit in the beta stage at this time. Google for it.

You can download it from MS and use it for a year, and then MS will give you an option to buy official version.
