Hello evryone,
I was reading the article on the ASUS P55T2P4 motherboard and how you can put a AMD K6 2 500mhz processor in it, well I have that same motherboard and I bought the same processor off eBay but when I first load the computer the first screen says the cpu is AMD K6 2 400mhz and when I check through the dxdiag tool on windows it says its a AMD K6 2 450mhz.
I have been playing around with the JP pins but the highest speed I have been able to get with it is 400mhz on the bios screen and 450mhz on dxdiag.
I upgraded the bios version using aflash.exe but this had no affect.

1. Forget what the BIOS says, it can't report anything higher than 400, even if the board runs 500.
2. Your CPU has a 2x=6x conversion built in, so setting the multiplier at 2x will get you 6x. 2x66.6 looks like 133MHz but is actually 400MHz via the CPU's conversion. 2x75 is 450 and 2x83.3 is 500.
