On the current intel chipsets that are coming out, does the hard drive controller and LAN utilize the speed of the pci express? Most of them just sax they have two 1x slots for add on cards and one 16x slot for graphics cards...Do they just not mention that the hard drive controller and ramm connect through pci express...how does this work, thanks for your help,

Jeff

More about what utilizes
  1. No, Intel's newer chipsets have their own LAN bus separate from any PCI bus, and their drive controller is also separate. Both interface directly to the link between the northbridge and southbridge.
