Please recommend a board

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a decent board that will let me use the AMD Duron 1.3 and PC100 1GB RAM that I currently have and add a 250GB SATA150 Drive. I am currently using a ASUS A7V classic board and I can't get the SATA dive to work even after changing the SATA card and the drive once (Thought they might be faulty). I am not keen to invest in new processor and RAM just yet.

Here is my current system configuration:

AMD Duron 1.3
PC100 DIMM : 1GB
Maxtor 80GB on ATA100 1
IBM 16 GB on ATA100 2
Plextor DVDRW on IDE 1 Master
Ricoh CDRW on IDE 2 Master
Internal USB SD and CF card reader (Shows up as removable drives)
Hercules ATI 9800PRO AGP
and Creative sound

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've tried the ECS K7S5A. No luck. It doesn't even recognise the HDD (ASUS A7V atleast recognises it). I've flashed both boards with the latest Bios. So, I'm back to squire one with a little less cash...

Any other sugestions?

maybe try returning the board you just bought and get a little of your money back

The motherboard you bought, try to get it to work, the one I have now didn't recognize the hard drive, and to fix it I just chose LBA in the BIOS and reformatted it, then it detected fine.
