Mirror's Edge help

I bought Mirror's Edge last night with Dead Space on Steam as they were reduced in price. Dead Space works fine, however when i try and start Mirror's Edge it comes up with the usual 'Preparing to launch Mirror's Edge' and then it goes and the game doesn't start. I've tried De fragmenting it and I verified the game cache but still no luck. Any suggestions?

Windows 7 32-Bit
XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 @ 8300MHz - GPU Clock & 1320MHz Memory Clock.

Your drivers up to date? Try updating video card/Physx/direct x

Had same problem with COH awhile ago and just had to reinstall DX on my own.

Does the game show up in the task manager at all when its launched?

My Graphics drivers are up to date. Yes it appears for about 5 seconds then goes away.

SOLVED - I Copied the PhysXloader.dll from the PhysX Local folder to the Binaries folder still keeping the original PhysXloader.dll in it's original file.

Only problem is my CPU keeps overheating - it's only at 2.33 GHz and its recommended that you have at least 3.0GHz to play. it's maxed out on 1440x900 and i'm getting 60fps
