Having trouble with an HP Deskjet 3820. I changed the ink cartridges and
now the printer won't print. I've done everything I can think of to fix
it. I've checked the cables and power, reinserted the cartridges,
invoked the self diagnostics, reinstalled the driver, tried to print
a test page from the toolbox *and* the printer itself. The only thing I
haven't tried is replacing the parallel cable itself. There is every
indication that the printer is communicating with the computer (Win
2000), the light is flashing when a print job is sent, but no matter
what it doesn't print. I even tried looking for the HPZSTATX.EXE file
that sometimes causes problems with this model but I didn't find it on
my computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
