I had a system with 1 dvd writer, one HD on the IDE and one RAID 0 setup (boot drive).

Well something happend (unknown what happend at this time) and my raid drives became unavailable, so I tried booting up using the ide drive which happen to have an old copy of windows.

Well now BIOS is saying there are NO bootable drives attached so I power down double check the connections and power up again. During POST I notice BIOS doesn't mention the ide drive (it sees the dvd-writer just fine).

After further testing I found that from IDE 0-IDE 4 only IDE 1 recognizes there is a device pluged in.

I seem to be getting adequate power and the cables are definitely plugged in. POST gives no errors and I've tried a known good ide drive to no avail.

I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas before I spend much more effort trying to find a copy of this motherboard (since nothing else will read this raid).

Might sound stupid but have you tried switching cables?

You are sure both drives in your RAID setup are good?

If you plug the drives in individually, just to the primary IDE connection does the BIOS recognize them?
