The fan on my motherboard, presumeably for some main component of the chipset, has recently been making extremely annoying irregular buzzing noises. I'm certain the noise is comming from this fan because I just went through all the bollocks of replacing the CPU fan/heatsink, and the noise is still there.
Is there any way of replacing the motherboard fan or some other way of fixing the buzz (aside from buying a new motherboard of course). I'm tempted to just smash the bloody thing up, why does my damn motherboard need a fan anyway, they never used to.
Incase it's revelvent - I've got a gigabyte GA-7VA

if you have Case fan, and not overclocking, running ur chipset without fan shouldn't be too hard
I removed my chipset fan once I got my board, no problem occured till now
