Dead Space Glitch

Hello, so i am Beating dead space on hard and i am on Chapter 9 i jut got the singularity core and i killed the monster that killed my hammond and now im suppose to go to the crew deck by using the elevator but the power cell thing is not there to power up the elevator ive tryed powering it ive tryed going to a previous level and working my way up again but every time i get to that spot the power cell thing is not there and now i dont no what to do

Oh wow I remember having the same problem. That confused the heck out of me... apparently this is pretty common. No idea what the cause is, but it's sinking into the ground somehow. I had to restart the whole chapter and then I got it after that. *shrug*
