Strange Problem

Recently, I bought this computer. Everything works great, but every now and then it gets... faulty?...

For example, the other day I turned on my computer and I had no sound at all. No sound drivers and my speakers/mic wasn't working. The only way to fix the problem was by unplugging my computer from the power outlet, and plugging it back in.

Another example, today, I turned on my computer and it wouldn't boot up. It told me there was no Operating System installed...
I had to unplug the power cables, and that fixed the problem.

It's not a big deal, but it does get annoying. Anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

System:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
MSI P45 Neo2FR Motherboard
Core 2 Quad 2.66ghz CPU
ATI HD 4890 GPU

  1. I'd take it back to where you bought it. Could be fault hardware, psu, etc. Sounds like something isn't right.

Hopefully you have a warranty for it?
  2. its probably a faulty HDD...
take it back to the supplier and let them deal with it...
  3. Agree with the first two.... definitely sounds like faulty hardware, most likely power supply IMO. Take it back and have the vendor sort it out.
