Ok, I've recently built a computer from the ground up. Here's a brief overview of the components:
Asus P5GD1 motherboard
Intel P4 3.0 Prescott w/ LGA775 chipset and HT
200 gig WD SATA HD
Chaintech 6600GT Video Card PCIe
Liteon DVD/CDRW combo Drive
Antec Case w/ true power 380 PSU
Basically, every time I run a program I get windows errors and the program shuts down within the first minute of running it. My CPU is running below 40degrees (28 at idle). I have SP2 and the newest BIOS updates for the MoBO as well as the new drivers for the Video card.
I've had the blue screen of death twice.
Let me know what I need to do to show you more.

MSG me if it's easier. I'd love the help. Getting really frustrated.
PS. I'm not totally familure with all of the Bios setting that could be causing this problem I've done everything that I could think of and I'm still crashing as soon as I get into any 3D type program (EQ2, Warcraft, Motocross Madness, 3dmark03, 3dmark05 etc.)
Sounds like a ram problem. You may get some relief by changing the vdimm in the bios to 2.7. It may also help to loosen off your ram timings. Try changing all to 1 number higher. You can check to make sure it's ram, by downloading memtest86. When you activate it, it will make a bootable floppy. Just boot to floppy and follow the instructions.
Fans are spinning. The CPU is running below 40degC as well as the mobo. I'm about to test the ram 1 stick at a time. Check out these tests results from my system.
You can change the ram timings under "advanced" Where it says "configure Dram settings by SPD" dissable this, and you will have access to yout timings. Just bump each one up by 1.
You can change the Ram timing all you want but the you need to change the ram. I've seen several cases where the el-cheapo CL3 memory just won't run reliably in a system with dual channel memory capability. Sometimes not even posting. Try some CL2.5 Ram and see if that fixes the problem.
