Warcraft III in Windows 7 Problem

Guys i need help... i play warcraft III in XP before but i change OS this week i change it to windows 7..

the problem is i need to install directX 8.1 but my directX version is 11 what am i going to do ??? need help guys please

Make sure your Windows is up to date since Microsoft release compatibility fixes every so often.

Also, try installing and running the game in Compatibility Mode.

Right-click on the installation file, select Properties->Compatibility.

Set it to run in XP compatibility mode, Run as Administrator, and Disable Visual Themes.

Inser the disk, find the file that says setup.exe or something similar, right-click on it, then follow my steps. Do the same to the game's .exe file after installing it. You follow?
