Gigababyte GA-K8NXP-9 nForce4 motherboard
Ahlon64 winchester core 3200+
Philips 109P TFT LCD
Creative Inspire T7700 (or 7900) 7.1 speakers
Radeon X800XT platnium edition 256MB
Western Digital 200Gb SATA hard drive
1 GB (2*512Mb sticks) of Twister Dual channel PC4000
Lian-Li V1000 case
Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse
Logitech Elite USB Keyboard
Thermaltake 480 watt PSU with PFC
Samsung 52x24x52 CDRW 16x DVD cimbo drive

I am still considering using instead of the AMD (and yes im aware everyone here will say for me to use the AMD)
Abit IC7-G
Pentium 4 prescott core 3.2GHz

Im wondering is this a good setup to overclock? and any suggestions anyoen can make on it (dont mention my choice of the intel either please :-) but im looking for advice on the rest of it)

I already have a SB audigy2 ZS sound card and a PixelView PlayTVpro tv tuner that i will be putting it it as well

Get a 6600GT PCI-E and save some dough. Is the Phillips LCD the one with the 12ms refresh? You'll want 16ms or less. Get a real DVD Burner with the GPU savings.

Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - Yellowtail Merlot

Its got the 16ms response time, but im getting it at a ex demo price so its quite alot cheaper. I dont need a DVD burner at the moment, im waiting until they get a bit better, 'll upgrade it late next year probably.
I'll look into that RAM, i dont know much about it so i ust added on what my friend told me to.

An AMD should be easier to keep running cooler

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...

Yeha i know the AMD will run cooler but i always been a fan of intel, and 2 of my best mates (one of whom is wuzy) are telling me to get it and the most important reason i need my computer by the 12/12/04 and theres a 2 to 4 week delay before the parts become avaliable in NZ from being released in the US so it might be a bit late for me :(  also anyone knwo anythign about the Asus nForce4? is it better or worse or about the same?

Nforce4 = Cock Robin, or as you might say, "bloody fantastic". Get one if you can wait.
