The name of the process is called vf9kf.exe. I did a search on the hard drives and found nothing. Ran ad-aware, and antivirus. Both came up with nothing. Its not starting in msconfig, and not in Current Version/run in regedit. I am stumped. I opened task manager, and it was running 7 times. I ended the process, but I am stumped as to what the process does. Tried google it, nothing.

hmm try just vf9kf in a search don't add .exe... and see where it's located and [-peep-], if you still no good, then go to microsofts, webchat, you get 2 free chats and you can talk to a microsoft "pro" and ask him what's this process in windows.

my honest best guess, is that it's either #1 a brand new software spyware, adaware type of thingy........ or it's some gay stupid windows file.

My searchs didn't come up with anything either. You could try doing a search on your pc - start, search, all files - for vf9kf. This will show you what folder it is in. Right click on the file and check properties. In general or version you might get some idea what it is and who put it there. Maybe some kind of video or other device driver ????

For it is not what is seen, but what is not seen.

No programs picked up on it. I finally found it in the C:\Windows\Prefetch, deleted it, and all is good now. I asked a friend at the computer department where I work, and he said it was a massing e-mailing file. I don't know. Deleted it, and it hasn't came back in a few days.
