It will run just fine on medium settings. GTA IV is one game which even the best of setups struggle to perform flawlessly on! I was running it with:
9400GT (1 gig)
Core2Quad@2.33
4Gg DDR3 RAM
G41 Mobo

It ran alright, but not perfectly! Just keep your settings on medium, resolution at 1024 or 800 and it will 'work'...don't expect amazing performance though. If you want better, you'll need to ypgrade you GPU

it will run properly. But you wont be able to max it even if you want it. The 512 mb memmory will hold you back alot. Since GTA 4 is a pure memmory game.

It's not just the 512 mb factor. I was running it on the following specs:

MSIGTS250 (1 gig)
Core2Quad@2.33
4Gg DDR3 RAM
G41 Mobo
1024*768

Though I got a decent performance, I wasn't able to play it on a higher end. It's just the game...it requires a LOAD of memory. Even then, it doesn't perform to the best of expectations. It's just badly put together.

i have intel Quad Q8400 2.50 GHZ it ran GTA 4 smoothly with 1.6 patch.... i am using it on 70 % settings to max. u r using a dual core it should run but on medium or low settings... anyways just try it.....

I have the 1.0.7 patch for GTA and i installed the police pursuit beta and one cop car. It will work for about 5mins then it will freeze. But the radio station it is on will play as normal and not cut out or skip. I set the game setings a low as i can and it still frezzes.

My specs are:
Intel Tripple Core cant rember what exact one.
Nvidia GE Force 7025 or better
2GB RAM
OS: Windows XP

SORRY FOR THE POOR SPEC'S I GOT THE COMPUTER BUILT.
If someone can help me its will be nice. unlike people on youtube.
