I'm just wondering at what settings ps3 games run.
I mean compared to the settings of pc games.
Like the texture quality, shader quality, anti aliasing quality, antisotropic filtering level,
shadow quality, physics level, water detail,...
The graphic hardware of consoles (X-box, PS3, etc) is roughly equivalent to a PC's 8800 GT. Thus, any modern mainstream card will outperform it by a fair margin. This is why, as a general rule, the graphical settings on consoles are always lower than those of PC, in order to get playable frame rates.
Yup, but even though the up-to-date pc hardware will outperform the ps3 hardware, we have to remember that the ps3's OS is designed for gaming.
Operative Systems such as windows eats up a lot of the computer's resources.
The bottom line: The ps3 offers better gaming-performence for the money
