Fallout 3 GOTY freezing

I'm having issues with Fallout 3 Game Of The Year Edition. After anywhere from 1 to 30 minutes(usually less than 3) It freezes and the only way to shut it off is to go to task manager or turn of the comp. I've tried the ms codec and the k-lite codec pack, but I still have the same problem. Running it on lower res and graphics doesn't help either. Please, if someone can help, please do.
