Correct way to do an OS Repair?

i know in 2k you can boot to the cd and hit "r" and run a fast or manual repair.... why is there no option for that in xp pro? what is the correct way to do this in xp? thanks guys....

Yeah, i was going to say, xp pro certainly has the option to repair from the disc, have you already tried system restore?

yeah, its a different repair though. definately not as easy as the old 2k version. i tried system restore... still having problems. im just gonna wipe it out, but in the future it would be helpful to be able to jsut do a repair as in 2k. thanks for the help guys.
