How to fix runtime error

Hello, I got problem with avatar - the game installing. There come: Runtime Error (179:536): Internal error: Unknown custom message name "ExtrError" in "cm" constant. How to fix?? Please HELP!!!

Corrupt installation files. If this is from original DVD, return it for a new one.
If downloaded from steam/ea, delete and redownload
If downloaded somewhere else illegally, delete and buy the game .

just a suggestion when i had the same problem with GTA4. try running the game as Administrator, and/or go to the game properties and try running in compatibility mode for Windows XP, and/or Windows Vista
