All application running in notepad

hi i have a problem in my system ....... my all applications are opening in notepad only ...... if i change the properties also it is not changing ........ so do help me in solving this problem .......

no all the values in that .exe and exefile folders are correct only but still it shows the same problem .......... the icons of all EXE files are still the icon of the notepad ........ please tell me if there is any alternate solutionn ;

Are applications still running via Notepad? Or is it now just the icons that are incorrect?

all the icons for the applications files are changed to that of notepad and they are opening via notepad only ............. i tried to change the properties but still i am helpless .......

Try running the programs as administrator.
