Game problem black screen with sounds

Hello,
i'm having a problem with my computer screen you see when i go to play games(like computer games as in call of duty or left 4 dead) the screen stays black but the game runs and i can hear the music of the game. somebody help! please!

Sounds like it could be a screen resolution issue. Try changing the screen resolution to a lower setting. Start the game, and see if it begins to work.
