hi, i have just finished putting my pc together and all hardware is working fine but i cannot install windows 7 as it comes up with an error stating:

NTLDR MISSING please restart using cntrl + alt + delete.

i purchased a brand new ( so does the seller say) wd 160gb sataii 3gb/s hdd, could it be that windows xp or older was installed in the hdd and that is why i am getting the error??

if yes how can i sort this out as it wont let me do anything else other than access bios and possibly boot from cd

More about ntldr missing help
  1. It appears it's trying to boot from the new drive, enter bios and set the boot priority first boot to optical disk. Save settings and restart, press any key when prompted to boot from CD/DVD.
