P4R800-V Deluxe discontinued?

Hi,
I was decided to buy one of these, but when I got to a few local shops here
in Romania, they all told me the two Asus boards based on ATi (P4R800-VM and
P4R800-V Deluxe) are marked as "End of life" at all their distributors,
which they say means they've been discontinued by the manufacturer. I
haven't heard anything about it, there's nothing on the Asus site, the two
boards are happily listed in the "current" boards category ; also searched
Google, found nothing.
Anyone has an insight?
