What news/hope is there on getting a motherboard and nforce 4 chipset that will support Athlon 64 & AGP? I would like to upgrade my cpu and mobo but don't want to ditch my 3 month old Radeon 9800 Pro.

If no nforce4 will ever exist for agp, what would be a good, current chipset?

Thanks all,

R.L.

NForce4 = PCIe
NForce3 = AGP

Other than that, the 2 chipsets are pretty much identical. Get an nForce3 chipset and you have nForce4 with AGP.

Thanks for the info. I made a nubie mistake of posting before making a proper search. Another post around here did mention this but not in much detail. Searching the net via google did not give me this point of view. I wish I had found reviews stating such.

IMO, NF3 Ultra is the way to go for S939 AGP. I was in the same boat with a 9800 pro, not to mention other AGP cards i wanted to be able to bench/use in the system. I went with the MSI K8N Neo3 platinum and am quite pleased to say the least.
