Hey,

I just found an old HP Pavilion 7950 in the attic

I bought it like 9 years ago..
I was wondering if i could relive any memories on it..

So my specs are...
RAM:1 GB
CPU:AMD Athlon at 1.2 Ghz(Thunderbird)
GPU:Geforce 2 MX/400
OS:Windows XP
HD:80 Gigs

I want to see games that run on this archaic machine.
Thanks for your answers.. :D

I played half life on a packard bell 486 DX2 66 MHz with 88 MB ram and 8 MB Monster GFX card. The CPU had been upgraded to a 586 133 MHz overclocked chip. But at 640X480 some section were like a slide show.

Mech Warrior 2 will play maybe 3 will also.

Yup, I stand corrected. But to be more precise:

System Requirements
CPU: Pentium-133 or equivalent
RAM: 24 MB
CD-ROM speed: 2X

Video Mode: SVGA with 2MB of video memory
Hard Drive Space: 400 MB
Sound Board: Yes
Operating System: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT

Recommended System Requirements:
CPU: Pentium-166 or equivalent
RAM: 32 MB
3D Accelerator Board: Yes
Operating System: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT

Wow!! That was the time....when minimum sys.req. meant 24MB RAM and recommended was 32MB! :)

Id consider finding win 98 for that rig and playing a load of games that never ran well with xp - the CD editions of tie fighter and xwing rebel alliance etc, Theres tons of good games that never worked under xp, and your hardware on that machine would be great for those sort of games.

This originally came with Windows ME(which sucks)
But i have a product key for it...
Not the case with Win98

Figure out which mobo you have. If it's an Intel brand mobo, you can't OC it.

There is probably an OC guide in the Overclocking or CPU section of the forums or you can easily find one through google. You're trying to OC the CPU right?
