Here is the response from Gigabyte technical support I received about an issue regarding my nForce4 NIC issue :

Thank you for supporting Gigabyte products and contacting GBT Tech Support. As to the problem you mentioned, if the PCI LAN card works well, it is possible the issue with nVidia PHY LAN. nVidia already noticed this issue and is dealing with it now. They will try to find the solution as soon as possible. Before then, please try to use the PCI LAN card. Sorry for the inconvenience that has encountered.

At last, if you still have any further question or suggestion about our products/service, please do not hesitate to contact with us directly. We will try our best to help you resolve the problem ASAP.

Best Regards,
Gigabyte Technology

This means that nForce4 NIC is still not 100% stable/reliable with the actual drivers/BIOS on some motherboards. Any nForce4 owner's have issue with their nVidia-NIC?

The main problem I have with the nVidia NIC is that I get disconnect when I try to play online games. I tried different BIOS settings and drivers... Nothing correct that problem. For the moment, I use a PCI-NIC.

My motherboard : Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9
