AGP VDDQ 1.56v
DDR VTT voltage 1.31
ATX +3.3v 3.39

I uninstalled Abit EQ and ran the sisoft sandra burn-in and my temps never went above 47-49c. Please tell me what you think of this run.

Ill give that a try. Are Abit's boards know to have a higher temp reading? Should i use something other than sandra?
I think i know what caused the problem with the alarm, i had Abit EQ installed and i installed MBM5 and then EQ started to flip out. Maybe the two programs cant be installed and running at the same time?
Any pointers would be great. I would like OC my new system sometime soon but i want to make sure that everything is running right first.

Case set-up:
Lian-Li PC60
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-112-022&depa=1
Has 4 80mm fans (2 in front, one in back and one in the top)
Fortron Power blue storm has 1 120mm fan
XP-120 has the silverstone 120mm (white) fan on it.

well i think im off a bit on my room temps. Its around 80f = about 26.6c.. Kinda hot in this room. I have the front fans on high. i dont really think the stock case fans are pushing much air. I would try to replace them but they are riveted in. Any ideas?

The alarm goes off because you are out of bounds on some parameter.

Which parameter is out of range? Could it be the miniumum RPM on the CPU fan?

Could be any parameter!!!

This is really odd. I have another computer in the same room right next to the one we have been talking about and i installed MBM5 on it and the temps are really different.
sys: 27C
CPU: 43C
system specs:
AMD 1700/266 ATHLON 1.47G
EPOX 8KHA+
ENREMAX CASE 10 bay FS-710 (3 80mm fans, one front two rear) and then 2 80mm in the power supply
i dont know why the two are so different...

The top and the back seem to be riveted in with black plastic rivets... what do you think about the different temps bewteen the two comps.

Splendid
First off, the P4 runs more than twice as fast as the xp, so of course it gives off more heat.
Those plastic rivets are push-ins. You have to push the center pin in from the back to remove them.
Your board seems to be overvolting your chip.
You may have an air movement problem inside your case. Try to open the side up, and see what happens.

OK i opened up the side and the temps went down a bit. I will do another 10 run burn-in wiht sisoft sandra and let you know what the temps are. The stock fans that came with the PC60 dont seem to be pushing much air.

I had a similar problem with my alarms going off when I changed my CPU and northbridge fans. I think it might be something to do with them running a lot slower than the old ones and so the motherboard puts out an alarm because they are underspeed...I could be completly wrong though.

I did a sandra burn-in with the Case side ON last night and this is the 20th run. The temps are a little higher than the run i posted above which was with the case side off. I currently have the 120mm fan on my XP-120 blowing down on the CPU do you think it would do better blowing out (up). Also would it help to change out the case fans, im using the stock ones that came with the PC60 case??

Yea they are adda's. I just thought that it might help to have fans that would push a little more air.

Wusy: i just sent you a PM. I was also wondering if the direction of air flow over my heatsink would change anything. I have it blowing down on the CPU right now, do you think having it blow out (away) would do any good?

I just did some DVD encoding and my temps are greater than the temps i got from the burn-in tests.
So you dont think 51-53C under load is too bad? Its all stock i would have thought it would be lower. I would have expected temps like that if it was OC.
