Problem, windows explorer crashes, "turns off then on", task bar and any open windows folders/files close. The task bar comes right back. Seems to happen most often when opening a series of folders/file rapidly. Sometimes it is fast, and restarts. Other times the machine hangs up for a time, then it crasher. Applications do not hang when explorer stops responding. Sometimes it sends an error message
Applications are not affected and none crash with any frequency. This does not appear to be related to heat/hardware or cpu usage. It happens when the machine has just been turned on, or if has been running, whether or not other applications are running. The applications do not crash when explorer crashes.
When the machine locks, application windows dragged around the screen leave "trails"....
