How do I delete these folders??

I want to delete the Contacts, Favorites and Searches folders in my main personal folder (the one where My Pictures/My Videos are). I can delete them or make them hidden but they just come back. Is there any way to delete them for good??

I'm afraid Windows says you're stuck with those - essential system files, so called. If you don't store anything in them, they take up little space but in eth days of good old XP, all these things were configurable one way or another..

The way I work around this is to completely ignore the main personal folder. There are too many programs around that fill it up with junk. I've created a different folder where I store all my files, and placed a link to it in the main personal folder so that it's easy to get to from the standard file open/save dialog boxes.
