This is my uncle's computer.
Windows XP PRO
I never set a password for the windows login.
There was no login screen in the past.
Now there is a login screen with his name. But its different from my computer. On my computer I can change login names by typing them myself in. For him his name is already there in a box.
I don't enter a password because I never set 1.
I figure maybe there is a password so I use a program called
EBCD which changes the windows login pw outside of windows.
I try it and i get the samething.
"the system cannot log you on due to following error.
the program issued a command but the command length is incorrect. "
He doesn't really do much on the computer. Just uses it to surf the web. He did say he did do a windowsupdate recently before the problem occur.
Any suggestions would help.
Thank you for reading this.

This is mostly due to malicious spyware contracted from porn sites.
Two solutions remain: Tell him to be carefull while "surfing the web" and you need to reformat your computer.
I'm guessing he has the welcome screen that is default in windows? Have you tried getting in via safemode? There is no admin password by default so you should be able to get into the machine via the admin account and safe mode. There you can reset the password for his account.
There are also linux distros avaliable that will boot off a cd and have utilities already installed that will crack windows account passwords.
Actally there is a virus associated with the proble you are having. It's called the 360 virus. I recomend using Dreamon Freeware to access the system then running Windows Malicious software removal. Then install mcafee 2009 to Keep your system safe..Any questions Call (405) 732-2317 John's P.C. Repair... In Oklahoma..Ask for me I'm John...
