What is your SC II experience?

As I look through this forum I see a lot of questions like "Is my system good enough for SC II?" So I decided to start this thread. Here is my experience with SC II. Please feel free to post yours and yes brag about your system as I expect to see some monster builds out there so I can drooll.

I've played around with SC II on different systems and here are the results. I used Fraps to capture FPS during gameplay (not benched.)

AMD 64 2.1 GHz single core
1 GB DDR RAM
HD 2650
XP Pro SP3
The game installed, could watch the cinematics but unplayable at any settings or screen resollution.

Intel Core Duo E6400 (my htpc)
2 GB DDR RAM
HD 3650
XP Pro SP3
Playable at lowest settings, sometimes with hickups but playable, not recommended for PVP.

AMD Athlon 62 X2 2.1 GHZ
2 GB DDR2 RAM
HD 4670 1GB DDR5
XP Pro SP3
19" Monitor at 1440x900 High settings: Average-70+ FPS
24" Monitor at 1920x1080 at high settings: Average-40+ FPS
24" Monitor at 1920x1080 at Ultra settings: Average-30 FPS

AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GhZ
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Onboard HD 4200 512 Shared memory
XP ProP3
19" Monitor at 1440x900 Low settings: average 40+ FPS but lagged during zerg rush last mission.

AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GhZ
4 GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 260 Core 216
Windows 7 64 bit
24" Monitor at 1920x1080 high seetings: Average 60+ smooth play.
24" Monitor at 1920x1080 ultra settigns: Average 40+ with ocassional hickup.

The ligh reflection settings says it uses your cpu.

More about : experience

i'll add my rig.

Athlon 9950 X4 BE 2.6
2 gig DDR2 PC8500
GeForce 7800 GT
Windows 7 (32 bit clean install)
Low to Medium Settings.

I haven't played mp yet so no response there.
I have played SP/SPvsAI and occasionally the game comes to a crawl and just freezes. Other times it runs great without any problems or lag.

MY RIG

AMD X6 1055T @ 3.66
4GB XMS3
ATI 5970
ASUS Crosshair IV
Win 7 64 Ultimate

plays on Ultra settings, and even at huge battles it bogs down to
about 25fps, most of the time it's 60+ so it's playable for sure. no crashes or weird things like that.

How old is your hard drive? My son had the same problem with the game freezing sometimes so I moved his SCII folder to a 16GB (ready boost ready) USB Flash drive and he was fine. I bet you could also get more FPS if you got a new video card.

It's good enough but it really depends on the individual's standard. So good enough for me might not be good enough for you. Your system is above the recommended requirements so you might be able to play it at high rez.
At what resolution will you be playing?

My old PC:
Intel E3400 single core.
3GB ram
Integrated Geforce 7050.

^ This PC could not run. Was getting about 5 FPS on low settings lol.

Building my new PC 2moz:

Phenom x4 3.2GHz
GTX 460
4GB RAM

^ I'll post tomorrow and tell u how it plays.

I have a 250 gig 7200 RPM SATA Drive, 50gig partition for the OS and the rest for data.
I know the Video Card is old and I am hoping I can afford a new on Black Friday, just found out that my wife is preggo again so money is going to be scarce.
