Any of the newer AGP cards. What's your budget?

Take a look at 6600GT models, they seem to deliver a lot of bang for the buck. I'm looking at an MSI 6600GT <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-150&depa=1 " target="_new">http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-150&depa=1 </A>
with VIVO but there are others that may be better if you don't need or care about VIVO.

Depends on what you want to spend. Also depends on whether you are considering a future upgrade to SLI, in which case you'd want to buy a top card now, and then buy a second exact card down the road.

Check out THG review of mid-range cards here: <A HREF="http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050404/index.html" target="_new">http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050404/index.html</A>

Thanks red.

I'm glad to hear I can upgrade to a 6600GT. I was just worried that I'm gonna need to upgrade the mobo before I can upgrade to any good cards out in the market right now.

What are your system specs - please include PSU (mfr, model and Watts).

Depending on your system, you may just be shifting your bottleneck to a different part in your system. Based on the chipset, your system can probably take full advantage of the 6600GT.

Sometimes is difficult getting responses in some of the boards. I asked a question about a Hard Disk in the Motherboards board and got 7 replies then it was suggested that I shouldn't be posting in that board, and that I should post in the hard disk board. I did and I got 0 responses!

By the way I originally posted in Motherboards because the question was for the hard disk but it has to do with the 3rd IDE in my Motherboard.

I responded to that post again...Some of the boards see less traffic and it takes longer to get a response. It may take longer, but there are some really savvy people that may only look in that forum.

I posted in here because I was hoping to get someone familiar with the mobo spec I gave and chipset. Or hoping someone with the same board with a better card than mine.

Sys spec:

HP a430n
AMD Athlon(B) XP 3200+ running at 2.20 GHz
512RAM
160GB hard drive
BESTEC 250W 2.0 12V PSU(ATX-250 REV D)
expansion slots:
3 PCI
1 AGP (8x)

The graphics card forum is one of the best. Those guys really know thier graphics cards.
If you have the extra money, the X800xl is the best bang for buck in graphics cards today.
