I'm building a new computer, can I just take my hard drive from my current system and use it in the new one? The only diff. in system is the existing system is AMD(Iwill KK-266, 1600XP) and the new is Intel (Asus P4P800SE, P4 3.0E)

Thanks

It's pretty new. WD 80GB 7200rpm, 8mb cache. Set-up not long ago, was just hoping to avoid reloading everthing. Just didn't know if new MB would cause any problems?

Splendid
You may be able to get away with a repair install. Just start the new system from the xp disk, and proceed like you were going to do a fresh install. When the disk checks your hdd, it will give the option to do a repair install.
If you are running xp home, you will have to have a note from Bill, with a new code.

Endyen is correct about the repair install. Good luck and if you have issues, then let us know.
