C&c generals zero hour video problem

recently i change my screen to samaung , before i had hp and there was no probem to run the fame , also i have nvidia 9600 gt
end ever since i start to work with the new screen i cant work c&c generals zero hour ,every time i get the message that
directx 8.1 is not installed or the video card is not up the minimom request.

i try every thing from changing the resolution , installing new directx .

That error could not have been caused by simply changing to a new screen. Are you sure you did not make any other changes to the system?

I have the same problem. every time i connect a new display, the same problem happen. as if it doesn't recognize the setting of new display.

any one knows how to fix?
