How do i get my logitech headset to work

well i got my mic cords plugged in the right holw but it wont work and its not lettibn me talk in combat arms with my logitech mic its gray and it can reverse the mic can if u turn it

In win7 under the Mic properties there is a setting to boost your mic. Turn this up all the way.
I have a brand new headset with mic and no one could hear me until a friend told me about this.
