Windows 8 piracy?

Last response: in Windows 8
Share

Hi all, windows 8 has been in shops for less than a day and already the internet is swarming with torrents, activators and serial keys to windows 8. Surely microsoft know about this. But I dont understand how they never seem to do anything about it short of a pop up that says you are running illegal windows. (wga crap).

So in windows 8 have microsoft got some sort of way to fight back? i read that if you sign into your microsoft account on pirated windows 8 they block your computer?

Im sure you can find their Anti Piracy measures online. But as of right now most if not all of those torrents are virus and trojan ridden fakes.

Pirated versions of Windows 8 have been around for months because the RTM version was released to manufacturers in July. Microsoft doesn't do anything about Piracy because it's free advertising and piracy has been linked to sterility. lol

Sterility is a virtue.

didn't microsoft implant some form of a kill switch for windows 8?

[alternatively, since i have MS Dreamspark, if they ever decided to restock W8, i can legally get it for free]

Its possible, but unlikely.
It would have gotten major attention.
