Ok, today my family and I went to bear mountains for a hike (well, more like me carrying the backpack and my baby bro), and then a an hour on this lake (we rented paddle boats, very nice, I had a race- me vs. both my parents, I won). Anyway, coming back, we stopped at this mall. My mom saw this set there that was about $260 for 1 set of dishes, cup, etc, and it had a funky, simple design w/ platinum. She bought 12, for guests and ourselves, so 12x260=3120. Why do women need to spend so much money on plates?! Luckily, after I showed I was pissed about having to watch my lil bros for 3 hours, I got a portable pair of mini speakers (eee! These will be fun on campouts!), and one of em $200 sony protable cd players that's for sports (u know, u can drop em in lava and they still live- it was on sale though, so I got it for $40, brand new!!). Hehe.
The human species consists of two general drives, to survive and to reproduce.
For the male of the species, survival consists of maintaining a level of health and fitness sufficient to protect oneself and family against predators and natural dangers. For the female, survival consists of ensuring their eye shadow matches that new Gucci bag they bought.
Reproduction drives the male to show a healthy protective environment to raise a family. The female uses this drive to make the male buy her another Gucci bag because the old one (2 weeks) doesn’t go with “this awesome lipstick” she found at Macy’s.
Actaully it's worse than that. As a protector, the Male seeks to do all he can to protect his family. The Female seeks to do all she can to make sure that, should her Male die in his task, she can find another Male to replace him.

lol, right now I'm trying to get my dad let me have a 17" 791SB CRT monitor from NEC to hold me over till I get my 19" LCD when FFD is out (current 15" is dying).
I have to agree with SVol, your parents seem to have a lot of $$$ to spare. Get them to get you a P4 2.8GHz and 1GB of RAM man, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the performance. It'll e about twice as fast as your 1.2GHz Athlon machine! LCD monitors may cost a lot of $$ but they're still inferior to CRTs for games.
Intelligence is not merely the wealth of knowledge but the sum of perception, wisdom, and knowledge.
That's why I'm waiting for FFD for the LCD, then it's just as good as a CRT in terms of moving objects. I'm waiting for hammer, then big upgrade comes. mwahaha.
Oh, my room is plenty big, it's just that I love this desk. It's funny actually, it's kinda old, and kinda cheap, but there's something about it I love.
