is there a mobo out there (or available) soon that supports the new athlon x2 (daul core 64-bit) CPUs AND supports DDR2 like intel-based boards seem to?

i want to buy an x2-based board (been looking at the asus a8n-sli deluxe) but don't want to have the latest processor at the expense of the the best RAM.

i know we'll have it all by 2006 by i'm planning to buy in the next month!

also, is there any X2 board that supports SATA2 which i understand will provide (max) 300Mbps with or without DDR2.

which will make the most difference to speed?

thanks,

SATA2 doesn't really add a great deal, though NCQ seems to work really well with dual core systems. This of course means that the controller and drive both have to support NCQ. You shouldn't really pay attention to the 300 MB/s value cause even the fastest drive out there won't make 100 MB/s. Just make sure the controller has NCQ (I believe all 300 MB/s controllers do) and the drive too.
